Her by Madelaine Miraflor

While she tries to wrap herself around him,
And let her head rest on his shoulder,
She was desperate,
It was there in her pleading eyes…
Then he mistook the desperation,
He thought she was seducing,
But then it was too dark,
So he grabbed her back…
In a way that she knew,
In a way that god failed her,
And then she felt like laughing,
In a way that she wanted to laugh more.
