The rain shower interspersed with heat,
The night was getting shorter than I thought,
Catching my breath as I make it there,
Trading the entire day for an exchange of glimpse.

It was hard to admit that I fell for this,
But it’s harder to think that there’s really nothing to fall for,
It was a tough crash onto the ground,
But it’s tougher to move on when there’s nothing to move on from.

I wish I could have just drowned in the rain,
But I chose to savour on it and dreamed,
I closed my eyes thinking you wouldn’t disappear,
But when I opened them, you faded into meaningless moonbeam.
